Our commitment to making oxfordhindutemple.org accessible to everyone.

Oxford Hindu Mandir & Community Centre is committed to making oxfordhindutemple.org accessible so that as many people as possible can find information about the Mandir, visit us, donate, and get involved.

Our aim

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA where practicable. We know that some parts of the site may not yet fully meet this standard.

What we are doing

  • using clear headings, labels, and readable text on forms and key pages;
  • providing text alternatives for important images where possible;
  • designing pages to work on mobile devices and common browsers;
  • reviewing new content and features for accessibility as the site grows.

Known limitations

Some areas may be harder to use for certain visitors, including:

  • embedded third-party content (for example YouTube videos and Google Maps), which are controlled by those providers;
  • some older PDF or document content linked from the site, if any;
  • complex multi-step forms, which we continue to improve.

Physical access to the Mandir

Information about visiting us in person, including location and parking, is on our How to get here page. If you need help planning your visit, please contact us.

Feedback and assistance

If you have difficulty using this website, need information in a different format, or want to report an accessibility problem, please email info@oxfordhindutemple.org. We will try to respond within a reasonable time and help where we can.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). See equalityadvisoryservice.com.
